The Department's description
Exterior description and setting
A wall mounted open head lever pump without decoration on the body. The cap is fluted. It is fed from a well at the side of No. 13 via a 2 inch pipe. Inscription round top reads 'Patent no. 1842'.
Historical information
Local informant stated that it was installed by the De Ross Estate, possibly in the early 1900s. Immediately behind the pump is a blocked up door with an inset tablet reading 'AD 1824'.
