The Department's description

Description at 15.08.1995. The column of this pump is plain save for 3 encircling bands, a lion motif and an indecipherable inscription (J Evans?). It is located at a road junction, very close to a fountain which superceded it.

Description at July 2006. This pump ahs been removed.

No pump shown on the 1906 or 1956 25 inch OS maps. It was presumably in use sometime between these two dates. Further particulars in the EHS report 'Water Pumps in Northern Ireland: A Preliminary Survey' by Fred Hammond, January 1997, Pump No. 17.

Pump was removed in c2004.
