The Department's description

Single-storey/ three-bay building facing east with lower one-bay extension to left. Coped gable roof has natural slates and three concrete rendered chimneys (one at each gable and one on party wall between first and second bays). The extension has a similar chimney on its left gable. Metal rainwater goods. The walls appear to be of granite rubble, now rendered.

The front door (sheeted with vertical tongue and groove boards) is at right end of second bay from left; it sits under a projecting porch with shallow monopitched roof. There are four windows, one to each room; all are 2/2 sliding sashes with polished granite sills. A modern return has been added at the rear.

This building appears on the 1834 OS 6” map.

Not listed

Not listed

A good example of a vernacular dwelling which has been sympathetically restored to a high standard. However, apart from the actual walls, there is insufficient original fabric to warrant listing.
