Exterior description and setting
A single-storey Orange Lodge with projecting central entrance porch aligned NE-SW set to N of Knocks Td. Enclosed to road by a hedgerow and a painted concrete wall with square-in-section gate piers supporting a cast-iron gate with central star and reading “KNOX”. Similar to other Orange Lodges in area (HB12/01/023 + 026).
Former pitched artificial slate roof now catslides to rear over modern extension. A polychrome brick chimney to left gable. Advanced eaves course with plain timber board carries metal rainwater goods.
Principal elevation faces SE. Walls are pebble-dashed over a smooth rendered and painted basecourse; stepped and painted dressed stone quoins. It is abutted to centre by a projecting porch detailed as main block. To its front face is a modern 6-panelled timber door with obscurely glazed fanlight over. Its left and right cheeks are blank. To each exposed face of main block is a semicircular-headed window with painted stone cill (both are boarded over).
Left elevation is blank.
Rear elevation is completely abutted by a modern extension with cat slide roof. Extension is detailed as main block with door set to the left and a uPVC side-hung casement to right with concrete cill.
Right elevation has two tiny uPVC windows with concrete cills to extension and a stone plaque to left-end reading “KNOX/ ORANGE HALL/1895”.

Datestone attests to erection in 1895.
