Exterior description and setting
A single-storey school in red brick with a shallow pitch to slated roofs, projecting porch in centre of entrance gable. Red terracotta finials to front gables; chimney to rear gable. Red sandstone plaque of oval shape above porch, inscribed ‘Millbrook National School 1913’. Buttresses along side elevations, with red sandstone weatherings; segmental headed side windows in white-painted timber, divided by central mullion and a transom into fixed lights with bottom-hung toplights. Semi-circular windows and doorway to entrance front, with red brick drip mouldings terminating in floriated label stops; modern flush door. Front boundary walling of red brick, partly original and partly new, with original wrought iron railings containing ornamental details and flower head crestings.
Setting: the building stands facing the main road in a small tarmac playground, with houses to each side.
Historical information
Built in 1913 as Millbrook National School, according to inscription over porch.

This is an early 20th century building of very little architectural merit but is worth recording from the point of view of local historic interest and community value.
