Exterior description and setting

A two-storey house, formerly a rectory, of asymmetrical plan with dry-dash walls of stone chippings, and roof of Bangor blue slates in regular courses. Single-storey projecting curved porch contains two Gothic arched windows, one still retaining a timber sliding sash, vertically hung, window, 1 over 1, with horns, but otherwise windows are modernised using small paned top-hung and fixed lights, or plate glass replacements. Modern conservatory in PVC to south end.

Setting: the house stands in a rural location with its back turned to a dual carriageway, and a spacious sloping garden to its front.

This is a house of Georgian foundation which still retains a few original features but whose original architectural character has now been seriously eroded by inappropriate alterations and additions.
