Inside the church of Tintern (WX045-029001-) at the E end are three worn memorials on the ground. That at the SE angle has the date 1684 but is otherwise illegible. It has been recorded by B. Cantwell (1984, vol. 8, No. 383, A, No. 5) as: Here lyeth the/ Body of Sr. Caesar/ Colclough Barront/ grandson to Sir Thomas Colclough and son to Sr/ Adam Colclough Bant/ he dyed ye 22d of June/ 1684 in the 61 year of/ his age leaving issue/ Sir Caesar Colclough/ Bart since deceased &/ Margaret his onely/ daughter & heiress now/ Maryd to Robt. Leigh/ Colclough of Rose/garland in the County of Wexford. esq.
