The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on a N-facing slope overlooking the inner harbour of Wexford. Archaeological testing (07E0912) identified the remains of a horseshoe-shaped burnt mound spread (dims c. 13.5m x c. 16.5m; T 0.3m). It was sampled with some trenches and the trough (Wth 1.4m; D 0.3m) was identified. However, it was preserved in situ beneath c. 2m of soil in an area that will be landscaped. (Keith 2008, 6, 8-12)
