The National Monuments Service's description

Situated on a N-facing slope overlooking the inner harbour of Wexford. Archaeological testing (06E1089) identified the remains of a burnt mound spread (dims c. 22m x c. 20m) in Trench 2 of Field 6 on a large development site. It was set aside for further work, should it be deemed necessary. (McLoughlin 2007, 6, 9)
