The National Monuments Service's description

An altar consisting of a masonry pier (dims 1.72m x 0.92m) covered by a single slab (dims 1.82m x 0.94m; T 0.1-0.12m) that had fractured but is now consolidated with cement is situated outside the N wall of the Roman Catholic church of the Assumption in Wexford town. A plaque states that it was moved here from the church of Kerlogue (WX042-006001-), c. 2 km to the S, in 1887.
