The National Monuments Service's description
The site if the parish church of St Bridget is depicted as a small structure (dims c. 10m E-W) within a small rectangular graveyard (dims. c. 30m NE-SW; c. 30m NW-SE) on the S side of Bride St. on the 1839 ed. of the OS 6-inch map. It is now within the grounds of Roman Catholic Church of the Assumption. It was attached to the hospital of St John of Jerusalem's Wexford house (WX037-041----) at the time of Dissolution (Hore 1900-11, vol. 5, 152). There are no visible remains of the church or graveyard at ground level.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
