The National Monuments Service's description
First identified in centre-line testing (00E0379) for the re-alignment of the N25 Wexford town to New Ross road (Elder and Tierney 2002), and completely excavated (00E0625) subsequently. It is situated on a W-facing slope. Seven post-holes and stake-holes form a rough right-angle. Four are aligned NW-SE (L c. 1.8m). 1.5m SW of its S end is a cluster of three post-holes. 7m to the W a shallow pit (dims 1.2m x 0.76m; D 0.07m) with oxidized sides may represent the remains of a hearth. No artefacts or samples for C14 dating were recovered, but it is probably prehistoric in date.
