The National Monuments Service's description

Marked as a circular embanked enclosure on the 1839 (ext. diam. c. 50-55m) and 1924 (ext. diam. c. 40-45m) eds of the OS 6 inch map, and situated on a broad but low N-S ridge. It is not visible at ground level in a harvested cereal crop. Archaeological testing (08E0172) c. 60m to the NW produced no related material (Tobin 2011), and further work (09E0561) had a similar outcome (Stafford 2013).

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
