The National Monuments Service's description
Marked as an oval embanked enclosure with trees (ext. dims. c. 50m N-S; c. 40m E-W) on the 1839 ed. of the OS 6-inch map and situated on a gentle S-facing slope. This is a circular area (diam. c. 30m) defined by an earth and shale bank with stone cladding (Wth 2m; H 2m) and trees SW N E, but the perimeter has been removed elsewhere by a farmyard. There is no visible fosse and there is a modern entrance at NNW.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
