The National Monuments Service's description

Located on a gentle NW-facing slope. Archaeological testing (E004811) of an area required for the construction phase of the M11 Gorey to Enniscorthy motorway in January 2017 (Whitty and Kavanagh 2017) identified archaeological features (excavations.ie 2017:167) in three areas which were fully excavated (E004857) subsequently as parts of Corbally 6 (excavations.ie 2017:314). Area 3 was just outside the 30m wide fallow zone retained around the enclosure (WX020-117001-) at SE and comprised a kiln with 6 related pits, and 7 more distant pits. The keyhole-type kiln (dims 2.6m x 1.8m; D 0.72m) had a firing chamber at SW, and had a clay lining in the drying chamber. It was filled with layers of grey to brown sandy clays representing two firings. A rubbing stone and two possible quern fragments were recovered. The nearby pits were small and varied from (0.57m x 0.4m; D 0.13m) to (1.1m x 0.75m; D 0.2m), were filled with brown silty sands, and produced no artefacts. Further from the kiln six pits varied in size from (dims 0.8m x 0.6m; D 0.3m) to (dims 3.3m x 2.8m; D 0.6m) with similar brown sandy clay fills. A saddle quern, one piece of flint debitage and 28 fragments from a single flint nodule were recovered. (Whitty & Kavanagh 2018, 14-23)
