The National Monuments Service's description

Identified in centre-line testing (E4110) in advance of the M11 Gorey to Enniscorthy road scheme, and set aside for resolution as Corbally 1 (Hardy et al. 2010, 85). It is situated on a SW-facing slope and was fully excavated (E4235) by C. Hardy as a large oval pit (dims 2.25m NE-SW; 1.15m NW-SE; D 0.18m) with a flue (dims 1.98m N-S; 0.53m E-W; D 0.18m) extending N from the NE end of the bowl. The chamber had a number of flat stones at the base suggesting that it may have had a stone lining. There was evidence of scorching at the entrance to the chamber. The perimeter of the enclosure (WX020-117001-) is c. 35m to the SE, and there is another corn-drying kiln (WX020-117002-) c. 70m to the SE. (Hardy 2012; 2013)
