The National Monuments Service's description
Identified in centre-line testing (E4110) in advance of the M11 Gorey to Enniscorthy road scheme, and set aside for resolution as a part of Corbally 4 (Hardy et al. 2010, 87-8). It is situated on a slight N-facing slope with a small E-W stream c. 90-100m to the N. It was fully excavated (E4241) by C. Hardy who uncovered a circular structure (int. diam. 5.3m) defined by three sections of incomplete slot-trenches (Wth 0.6-0.23m; D 0.01-0.1m). The entrance is a gap (Wth 1.6m) at N and much of the perimeter is missing at SW. No hearth was present but it has a central post-hole. The only other structural posts were a pair outside the wall at E. There were two gullies outside the wall at SE, and the inner one (L 8m; Wth 0.21m; D 0.14m) may have been a drip gully, but the wider, outer one (L 7.5m; Wth 0.47m; D 0.23m) may have provided general drainage from the fulacht fia (WX020-115001-) whose trough h is just 8m to the SSE. The pits (WX020-114----) are c. 80m to the NNW. (Hardy and Rajic 2012; Hardy 2013, 238)
