The National Monuments Service's description
Located towards the bottom of the S-facing slope of Carrigroe Hill, with a small NE-SW stream c. 70m to the S. The ecclesiastical enclosure (WX016-023001-) has a rectangular enclosure or annexe attached to the perimeter at NE that is only visible as a cropmark on Google Earth (14/07/2018). This area (dims c. 40m NW-SE; c. 9m NE-SW) is defined by a fosse that is attached to the fosse of the rath at N and E. The cropmark was first reported by Jean Charles Caillere.
