The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on a slight NE-SW spur with NE-SW streams c. 350m to the NW and SE. This is a circular grass and fern-covered raised area (diam. 34m) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 4-5m; int. H 0.5-0.8m; ext. H 1-1.5m) except NE-SE where a N-S field bank cuts the perimeter, and an external fosse (Wth of top 2.5-3m; D 0.2-0.4m) SE-NNW. The entrance (Wth 3.5m) is at S.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
