The National Monuments Service's description

This site was excavated (E3496) during 2005 as Sites 35 and 36 of the N11 Gorey to Arklow link. Located on the lower W-facing slope of Ask Hill. Two linear features (L 40m; 26m) met at right angles and appear to have been drainage ditches associated with a fairly modern field system. Nine small pits were also in the area. These were generally sterile but one produced a small amount of burnt bone. The mound (WX007-020001-) is c. 200m to the NNW and fulacht fia (WX007-068001-) is c. 150m to the S. (Sutton 2008)
