The National Monuments Service's description

Marked as a circular embanked enclosure (ext. diam. c. 35m) on the 1839 ed. of the OS 6-inch map, it is situated towards the bottom of a SW-facing slope of Ask Hill. It is visible as a cropmark enclosure (diam. c. 40m) defined by a single fosse feature on aerial photograph (CUCAP: AVJ 90) and as a curve in the surviving field bank and townland boundary with Ask W-N (C 34m). The fosse is also visible on aerial photographs (MM (53) 23, 24, 30), as is a rectangular annexe (dims c. 20m N-S; c. 20m E-W) defined by the cropmarks of fosse features attached to the perimeter of the rath at S.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
