The National Monuments Service's description
Described in 1977 as a possible ringfort situated on a small hillock in undulating countryside. Site consists of a roughly oval-shaped area defined by an earth and stone bank, shallow fosse only visible from W-NW and possible outer bank visible from E-SE but this appears to be more recent in date and could be the remains of a post-medieval field boundary. The remains of a low earth and stone bank can be seen running across the site from NE-N-NW which appears to be the remains of a post-medieval field boundary. Possible entrance gap (Wth 3.3m) at E. Large stone set into the ground on the N side of entrance gap may be original revetment of entrance gap. The perimeter of the monument has been defaced by livestock poaching and there are several other gaps in the perimeter due to livestock damage. The interior of the monument has been very disturbed by cultivation and there are the remains of cultivation ridges running roughly E-W across the interior. There is some rock outcropping visible in the interior of the monument along with some field clearance debris and possible traces of post-medieval field walls.
