The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on a low ridge running NW-SE, in pasture, with good views of the surrounding landscape. Ringfort (WM030-044----) lies c. 120m to SE. Depicted on the 1837 OS Fair Plan map as an irregular oval-shaped tree-planted enclosure annotated ‘fort’. Depicted on the revised 1910 ed. OS 25-inch map as a circular-shaped earthwork. Levelled monument described in 1973 as a circular-shaped area (diam. 33m) defined by a pale green cropmark of differential growth, which presumably represents a backfilled fosse. Levelled monument is visible today as a vague outline of a distorted circular-shaped cropmark on Digital Globe aerial photography.
