The National Monuments Service's description
The remains of a roughly-circular earthwork which could be the remains of much degraded ringfort are visible on OSI 2005 aerial photograph (pers. comm. C. McCormack). The crop mark is located in the NW corner of a small rectangular field. A possible ringfort (WM030-126----) is located in the adjoining field to the NW. A series of earthworks of unknown antiquity can be seen in the field immediately to the N. Cultivation ridges of post-medieval date can be seen on the aerial photograph in the field immediately to the SW of the monument. The curvilinear field boundary visible on aerial photograph to the NW represents the remains of a laneway that is depicted on the 1837 ed. OS 6-inch map. This laneway gave access to a an L-plan building possibly a farmhouse that is depicted on the 1837 ed. OS 6-inch map and located a few metres to the W of the possible ringfort. It is possible that this earthwork may be contemporaneous with the L-plan farmhouse.
