The National Monuments Service's description

Situated on a ridge running E-W, with extensive views in all directions and overlooking ringfort (WM030-003----) which lies c. 55m to NW. Depicted on the revised 1910 ed. OS 25-inch map as an oval-shaped earthwork. Monument described in 1979 as an oval-shaped area (dims. 27m E-W; 22m N-S) enclosed by an earthen bank, best preserved from NNE-NE-ENE and is poorly preserved elsewhere, almost being reduced to a scarp. The exterior of the bank is higher and steeper from W-NW and has been defaced by livestock from W-NW and at S. The interior has a S-facing slope and has well defined cultivation ridges running N-S. Some stone outcrops are present in the S and W quadrants. Monument is visible today as a subcircular-shaped tree-lined earthwork on Digital Globe aerial photography.
