The National Monuments Service's description

Situated on a slight rise, in gently undulating pasture with good views in all directions. Depicted on the 1837 ed. OS 6-inch map as a circular-shaped earthwork. Depicted on the revised 1913 ed. OS 25-inch map as a modified subcircular-shaped earthwork.
Monument described in 1970 as a much disturbed roughly circular-shaped area (diam. 33m) enclosed by a bank and an outer fosse. The earthen bank is best preserved from S-SW and it is fragmentary and almost reduced to a scarp from SW-N-E-S. Portions of the scarp have been removed by quarrying from NNW-N-NE, at E, SSE and from WSW-W-WNW. A gap (Wth at top 5.4m; basal Wth 1.7m) at ENE appears to represent the entrance. There are the remains of a wide, shallow outer fosse. The interior has a gentle E-facing slope and traces of cultivation ridges running E-W. Monument is visible today as a subcircular-shaped earthwork on Digital Globe aerial photography.
