The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on the E face of a prominent hill overlooking Lough Derravaragh to the NW. Ringfort (WM012-061---)120m to WNW, Bronze Age burial mound (WM012-060---) 265m to NW. A sub-circular slightly raised area (approx. diam. 33m WNW-ESE) enclosed by a low earthen bank (max. H 0.75m) and a shallow external fosse. The bank is fragmentary and has several disturbance gaps. There is an entrance gap (Wth 2.1m) and causeway (Wth 4.2m; H 0.2m) across the fosse at NE. The interior slopes slightly from WSW-ENE. A post-1700 field fence running E-W forms part of the perimeter of the site from E-S-SW.
