The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on summit of a steep prominent hill overlooking Lough Derravaragh 630m to the NW. Bronze Age burial mound (WM012-060----) 115m to NNW, ringfort (WM012-062---) 120m to ESE. An oval shaped area (approx. diam. 27m NW-SE) enclosed by a poorly preserved earthen bank and a slight external fosse. The bank is best preserved at NE, and reduced to a scarp elsewhere. The fosse is visible from SW-W-NNE. There is a possible entrance gap at W. The interior rises slightly towards the centre. The monument is now standing in a tree plantation that is depicted on the 1837 ed. OS 6-inch map.
