The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on a small terrace on the SW face of a hill in grassland with good views to the SE. Depicted on the 1837 OS Fair Plan map as a circular shaped enclosure annotated as a ‘fort’. A gravel pit is shown in the interior of the site on the S side on the 1837 ed. OS 6-inch map. No surface remains visible of levelled site. The levelled monument is visible as a very faint crop mark on the Digital Globe aerial photograph taken November 2011.
