The National Monuments Service's description
This is the record for the burnt mound (Spread B) excavated by Yvonne Whitty (E3234) on the N11 road improvement scheme. The burnt material comprised of four separate deposits, possibly indicationg four phases of activity. The burnt material sealed a trough and a pit, with the latter possibly functioning as an auxiliary trough. (Whitty 2009m)
