The National Monuments Service's description
Testing was carried out at Ballybeg between 12 and 14 September 2001 as part of advance archaeological works for the N11 Newtownmountkennedy to Ballynabarny dual carriageway scheme. Six features were uncovered within the test-trenches: some possible pits, post- and stake-holes. These features will be fully investigated subsequent to monitoring on the site (Bennett 2003, 408).
