The National Monuments Service's description

Situated on a gentle SE-facing slope. This is a circular grass-covered area (diam. 27m NNE-SSW; 27m WNW-ESE) defined by an earthen bank incorporated into a field bank (Wth 1.5m; H 1.3m) N-ENE, a scarp ENE-SSE, traces of fosse (Wth c. 7m) S-SW and a vegetation change at SW-W. Rath (WA034-013----) is c. 110m to the NW.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Waterford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
