The National Monuments Service's description
Marked only on the 1927 ed. of the OS 6-inch map as a D-shaped enclosure (ext. dims. c. 40m N-S; c. 30m E-W) truncated at E by a N-S field bank, and situated towards the top of a N-facing slope. Only the W part of the site survives. This is an overgrown D-shaped area (dims. 25.3m N-S; 16m E-W) defined by an inner bank (Wth 3.4m; H 1.2m), a middle bank (Wth 2m; H 0.5-0.8m) and an outer bank (Wth 2m; H 0.3-0.5m). The outer bank survives SW-N only, and the others survive S-N. The banks are earthen and are separated by intervening flat-bottomed fosses or berms (Wth of base 1.3-2m). The inner bank has internal stone-facing. There is no visible entrance, and the fosses do not appear to be excavated. It may be a barrow.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Waterford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
