The National Monuments Service's description
Marked as a circular embanked enclosure (ext. diam. c. 30m) on the 1840 ed. of the OS 6-inch map, and situated on top of a hill. This is an oval grass-covered area (dims. 34.2m E-W; 26.6m N-S) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 3-5m; int. H 0.6-0.8m; ext. H 1.2-1.6m) with traces of internal and external stone-facing. There is no visible fosse or entrance. It is planted with deciduous trees, and spoil had been added to the perimeter. Enclosure (WA034-014----) is c. 110m to the SE.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Waterford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
