The National Monuments Service's description
Situated in the flood plain of the canalised N-S Ballymoat Stream, c. 14m from its W bank. It was first identified by I. Russell in excavating the water mill (WA017-119----) c. 75m to the W, and completely excavated (E3827) by I. Russell in 2007 as Killoteran 11. Eight scattered areas of burnt stone in a black soil matrix (dims. c. 15m NW-SE; c. 10m NE-SW; max. T 0.25m) overlay a circular wattle-lined trough (diam. 1.52-1.78; D 0.55m) filled with loose silty clay and stones. There was a trackway (WA017-141002-) 4m NW of the trrough. The trough provided a C14 date of Cal BC 2180-2140. (Russell 2009b, 2010b; Ginn and Russell 2011)
