The National Monuments Service's description

At the lower end of a gradually sloping field at the foothills of the Comeragh Mountains. Formerly in wet pasture, with rushes and some rock outcrop. It is currently within a forest plantation. There are two other burnt mounds (WA015-119----; WA015-115----) c. 144m to the WSW and c. 213m to the SW respectively. A very low mound (dims. c. 10m N-S; 13m E-W; min. H 0.3m) identified in section in an E-W forestry drain and visible above ground as a very subtle mound. It is composed of fire-cracked stones and charcoal-rich soil beneath the sod.
