The National Monuments Service's description

On a raised area of ground, on an E-facing slope at the foothills of the Comeragh Mountains. Formerly in pasture, it is currently within a forest plantation. There are two other burnt mounds (WA015- 119----; WA015-118----) c. 100m to the N and c. 213m to the NE respectively. A low irregularly shaped mound (dims. c. 30m N-S; c. 27m E-W; H 0.4-0.7m) composed of fire-cracked stones and charcoal-rich soil beneath the sod. The monument is partially overgrown.
