The National Monuments Service's description

On the top of a hill with good views in all directions. Possible ringwork (diam. 38.4m N-S; 40.8m E-W) enclosed by a low internal bank (Wth 2.2m at top; 4.7m at base; H above int. 0.3m); fosse (Wth 3.3m; D 1.8m) and external bank (Wth 2.8m at top; 3.9m at base; H above fosse 1.3m; ext. H 0.3m). Interior is relatively clear of vegetation, some trees, scrub and brambles but most of the trees are located around the banks. A cage for pheasants has been constructed in the NE sector. The fosse is well preserved to the S and W, though the outer bank in these sectors appears to have been augmented when it became incorporated in the townland boundary. From N to E the outer bank appears to have been pushed into the interior, covering any traces of the fosse. The location of the monument is depicted as being a small area of woodland on the 1st (1840) and 1904-05 editions of the OS 6-inch map, it is possible that this monument was not surveyed as it was obscured by trees.
