The National Monuments Service's description
Fixed onto a stone pier (H 0.65m) at the S end of the E wall of the graveyard (TS072-002001-) of Templemichael church (TS072-002----), adjacent to the present gate access. Identified during field survey. An irregular sandstone boulder (dims. 0.55m x 0.5m; H 0.22m) with an off-centre circular depression/basin (diam. 0.35m; D 0.1m). Where the basin is closest to the edge of the boulder, a channel (L 0.0.7m; Wth at top 0.14m; Wth at base 0.07m) runs from the depression to the outer edge. A rounded sandstone stone (dims. 0.15m x 0.12m x 0.11m) rests in the basin.
