The National Monuments Service's description
In improved pasture, on the upper edge of a 300ft, W-facing contour with a natural scarp (H over 2m; Wth c. 8m) running N-S c. 4.2m W of the monument. An oval area (dims. 22m N-S; 20m E-W) is defined by traces of a backfilled fosse (Wth c. 3.2m; D 0.1m) and levelled bank (Wth c. 4.2m; H c. 0.1m). The interior is generally level. The monument is depicted on the 2nd (1905) ed. OS 6-inch map as a circular area (int. diam. c. 40m; overall diam. c. 56m) defined by scarp and an outer fosse. According to Cahill (1982) this enclosure was levelled in about 1975.
