The National Monuments Service's description

In forestry, on a level area, c. 4m to ESE of a spring well. Substantial horse-shoe-shaped mound (overall dims. 15m N-S;22.5m E-W; min. H 0.55m at W; max. H 1.1m at E). Gentle depression is rear of mound at S. Trough area (dims. 7.5m N-S; 10.1m E-W) is open (Wth c. 10m) to N. Forestry planted to edge of monument at N and S and within 4-6m to E and W.
