The National Monuments Service's description
In reclaimed grassland on an E-facing slope of rising ground in upland region, good views to N, E and S, higher ground to W. Ringfort consists of a raised circular (diam. 24m N-S; 22m E-W) area enclosed by a poorly preserved earth and stone bank (base Wth 3.2m; top Wth 1.7m; ext. H 1-1.5m) mainly reduced to a scarp and external fosse (base Wth 3m; top Wth 7m; ext. D 1.7m) visible from W through N to E only, filled in elsewhere, possible entrance feature (Wth 3.5m) at E. Interior slopes from W to E following natural slope of the terrain. Monument intersected by field boundary at S on an E-W axis destroying the outer fosse along this quadrant as depicted on 1903 ed. OS 6-inch map. Wide flat-bottomed fosse on the W upslope of the monument and appears to have been re-cut and used as field drain from N to E where it runs into a field drain running N-S along bottom of field. Remains of outer bank visible along E quadrant of ringfort appears to be the remains of dumping after the fosse was re-cut and used as a drain.
