The National Monuments Service's description

In grassland on a NW-facing slope of low rise of ground with good views in all directions, overlooking River Arglo to the N. Ringfort (TS053-056----) 160m to W. Ringfort consists of a circular area (int. diam. 26m N-S; 26m E-W) enclosed by an earth and stone bank (base Wth 4m; top Wth 1.8m; int. H 0.2-1m; ext. 0.9m) best preserved from W to N elsewhere reduced to a scarp and outer fosse (base Wth 2m; top Wth 4.5m; ext. D 0.7m) which is intersected by townland boundary at W on a N-S axis, no entrance feature visible. Interior has been planted witn fir trees possibly in the 19th century may have been used as a landscape feature during this period. Modern gap in bank at N (Wth 4m). Perimeter of tree has thorn bushes, whitethorn trees and conifers planted along perimeter of ringfort the roots of which are now causing damage.
