The National Monuments Service's description
On the northern side of Derryvella bog, a togher (TS048-064----) lies c. 20m to the WNW. It was composed of three longitudinally laid brushwood elements (diam. 0.05m; L 0.07-1.4m) aligned NW-SE. Two longitudinals were laid parallel to one another, with the third 1.5m to the E. The wood was poorly preserved and in a fragmentary state. The peat was composed of poorly humified sphagnum peat with occasional calluna and eriophorum inclusions. A single piece of wood was identified as alder.
