The National Monuments Service's description
In Derryvella bog, this togher (Wth 0.42-1.2m; D 0.04m; L 9.3m) was visible on the field surface. It was composed of a number of longitudinal and transverse brushwood elements (diam. 0.04-0.-7m; L 0.12-0.56m) that appeared to represent the remains of a more substantial structure. The togher was orientated NE-SW and was in a poor state of preservation. The underlying peat was composed of moderately humified sphagnum peat with occasional calluna and eriophorum inclusions. A single piece of wood was identified as ash.
