The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on the E-facing slope of a rise in undulating pastureland. A small circular enclosure (diam. 26.3m N-S; 26m E-W) defined by an earth and stone bank (Wth 1m; int. H 1m; ext. H 0.7m) with evidence of stone revetment. On the current (1903) ed. OS 6-inch map field boundaries are depicted abutting the site in the SE, SW and NW quadrants and encompassing the circuit of the ringfort. Though these field boundaries have been removed they may account for the stone facing on the bank. No visible evidence of a fosse or entrance feature.
The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Tipperary. Vol. 1 - North Tipperary' compiled by Jean Farrelly and Caimin O'Brien (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2002). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
