The National Monuments Service's description

Situated on a SW-facing slope of rising ground in a valley in a mountainous region with a nearby moated site (TN028-064001) 25m to the SW and a ringfort (TN028-063) to the NW. A raised D-shaped area (diam. 30m N-S; 24m E-W) with straight side at W (L 24m) enclosed by an earth and stone bank (Wth 2.5m; int. H 0.5m; ext. H 1.7m) and waterlogged external fosse (Wth 3m; D 0.7m) with possible causewayed entrance (Wth 2m) at SE. Evidence of stone revetment occurs along the inner face of the bank at SE.
