The National Monuments Service's description

In pasture, on a low rise at the N edge of a limestone scarp. A ruined rectangular church consisting of a nave (ext. 8m E-W; 7.5m N-S) and chancel (ext. 6.75m E-W; 5.65m N-S) with walls (T 0.8m) of roughly coursed limestone. The NW corner (H 2.3m) is intact, while the N wall of the nave is evident only as a sod-covered wall-footing incorporating the possible E jamb of a doorway ope. The N wall of the chancel is partially rebuilt and the E wall stands to a height of 1.3m. The external face of the S wall stands to a height of c. 1.5m (6-8 courses) but the internal face (H 0.7m) has largely collapsed. The W wall is partially rebuilt. A roughly constructed wall has been built against the S wall of the chancel negating the difference in width between it and the nave. The interior is covered in rubble and contains two mature sycamore trees, the bases of which are enclosed by rough stone walls. A semicircular area (c. 7.5m N-S) of stony ground was noted on the N side of the church and there is a hollow (6m N-S; 6m E-W; D 0.8m) immediately to the NW. Remnants of earthworks (SL040-135003-) are evident around the church ESE-W, some 7m from it. A ruined stone wall (Wth 0.8m) 16m to the S of it may be the remains of an enclosing element. A road (Wth 2.3m; L c. 80m) (SL040-135004-), cut into the W-facing hillslope and flanked by ruined sod-covered stone walls, approaches it from the NW. A cross-slab (SL040-135002-), known as the 'praying stone', lies 2.8m to the ENE.
