The National Monuments Service's description

Near the top of a S-facing slope. A roughly circular area (25m N-S; 28m E-W) enclosed by the remains of two earthen banks and an intervening fosse. The inner bank (Wth 2m; int. H 0.5m; ext. H 0.4m) is best preserved along the E and S arcs with remnants of an internal stone revetment. The intervening fosse (Wth 3m; D 0.3m) is evident E-W; field boundaries (on NE-SW and N-S axes) have been built on the line of the fosse along the NW and W arcs. The outer bank (Wth 3m; int. H 0.4m; ext. H 1m) is evident SW-W, probably disturbed by the construction of field boundaries to N and E. The interior slopes down to SE. A possible entrance (Wth 2m) is at E and a recent gap (Wth 3m) at W.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Sligo' compiled by Ursula Egan, Elizabeth Byrne, Mary Sleeman with Sheila Ronan and Connie Murphy (Dublin Stationery Office, 2005).
