The National Monuments Service's description

On the N-facing slope of a ridge. A raised roughly circular area (int. diam. 26m N-S; 22m E-W) enclosed by two earthen banks with an intervening fosse. The substantial inner bank (Wth 4m; int. H 0.4m; ext. H 1.8m) is evident all round with an internal stone revetment. The fosse (Wth 3m; D 0.6m) is visible as a shallow depression. A short arc of outer bank (Wth 1.8m; int. H 0.4m; ext. H 0.4m) is evident NW-N. The interior is mostly level; the S portion (Wth 8m) is slightly raised and defined by a scarp (long axis E-W; H 0.4m) along its N edge and is in line with the entrance (Wth 2m) at E. A N-S field boundary skirts the rath along the E arc. Another rath (SL034-158----) lies c. 50m to SE.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Sligo' compiled by Ursula Egan, Elizabeth Byrne, Mary Sleeman with Sheila Ronan and Connie Murphy (Dublin Stationery Office, 2005).
